Missions - Cambodia
Cambodian Hope Organization helps families with
gardening and water sanitation, animal health care and
husbandry, vocational training (sewing, motorbike
repairing and computer training), HIV/AIDS education and
home care, school sponsorship of children from disabled
families, restaurant management, food preparation and
hygiene training, child trafficking and domestic
violence awareness.
In 2006-2007 Cedarbrook funded the construction of
two schools, and the support and training of several
Christian teachers in a few villages in Northwestern
Cambodia.
These schools will help educate 600 students,
help give them a better future and keep them safe from
the dangers of human trafficking. We are also helping to
provide fresh water through the drilling of three wells.
This will further improve children’s lives and safety
and bring villages together in a new way. The villages
30 KM north of Poipet where Chomno is headquartered, are
quite remote. No NGOs have worked there as yet. In fact
it is a former Khmer Rouge stronghold. Our long term
vision is that the love of Christ would permeate these
villages and bring healing to all, no matter their
political background.

Cedarbrook sent a small team to Cambodia in March
2007 to see the progress of these projects and learn
about further opportunities to partner with Cambodian
Hope. In November 2007 we raised an additional $30,000
to fund five new wells, three new schools and teachers
in 2008.
