Missions - Europe
Sue
Hoxie: I work with a ministry of Greater Europe
Mission called eDOT (electronic Discipleship Outreach
and Training). Just like GEM, our vision and our heart's
desire for Europe is "a witnessing fellowship in reach
of every person in Europe." Believe me - there is much
work to be done. eDOT does several things:
We develop Distance Learning Bible study
courses and then translate them into 8 different
languages. One of my responsibilities is to coordinate
this process with our partners all around Europe and
then gather feedback once the courses are offered.
In eastern Europe, many people don’t have
computers yet are very anxious to learn to use them to
improve their lives. Setting up Computer Centers at
churches and offering computer classes is an incredible
outreach tool. I am responsible for coordinating between
our partner churches in eastern Europe (primarily
Ukraine at the moment) and US churches who want to send
short term missions teams to do computer outreaches.
Since I speak German, I also help my fellow
missionaries with anything they need help with in
German, like visas, bills, letters in German, contracts,
etc. Every day is a new day with new things to do and
new opportunities to serve our Lord!

Cedarbrook Church sent team to the Ukraine in March
2007 and again in April of 2008 to help a local church
with a construction project, offer computer skills
classes, and explore further opportunities to partner
with eDOT and GEM.
