IN PERSON: CEDARBROOK

OPEN TO ALL

Join me in active faith-based fun. We will get together on Monday nights at Cedarbrook from 6:30pm to 8pm. Our night will start with a bible story that leads to our heart pounding for Jesus. Together we will actively exercise, take notes, and enjoy the wisdom God offers from stories in the bible. We will end with a conversation and share our newfound knowledge. I believe that people who participate in active faith-based fun helps us grow in faith, at least this is what I think God has called me to do. You will need an open mind, good attitude, and ability to participate in exercise.

Meeting start date, November 10

We will be studying the book of Romans. which was written by Paul the Apostle. It is considered to be the greatest explanation of  profound Christian  truths anywhere in the Bible. It will strengthen us to respond lovingly, hopefully, and truthfully to many Issues in today's culture. It is filled with great themes of redemption: the guilt of all mankind, our inability to earn favor with God, the redeeming death of Christ, and the free gift of salvation to be received by faith alone. Throughout the history of the church, the study of Romans has sparked many great revivals! It gives us a fresh understanding of the magnificence of our  loving God and His overwhelming grace toward us.

Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin
Join us for this 6-week study reading and learning from Jen Wilkin’s book Women of the Word. We will learn how to study the Bible with both our hearts and our minds using a process for building biblical literacy laid out within the book. If you have ever wanted to study God’s Word in-depth and grow in your personal relationship with Him, but didn’t know where to start or find it confusing at times, this study is for you! New Growth Group members will read the book and learn the process together for 6 weeks. Returning members will be studying the book of Colossians for the 6 weeks. In January, we will continue our learning by applying this in-depth process to study books of the Bible together.

This G2 is a discipleship group centered around learning to listen to the Holy Spirit and be taught by Jesus what it looks like for the Church to be a place for healing the hurt and division caused by racism. We will utilize the book Be the Bridge by LaTasha Morrison as a tool to listen to each other's experiences and bring our own pasts to the redemptive and restorative work of the cross, building into the reconciled community that only Christ can bring. This group is for people of all ethnic backgrounds; all that is needed is a willingness to listen, learn, and engage in the work of the Holy Spirit. If interested in exploring if this group is a good fit for you, contact Alicia Nichols and Tiffany Johnson at aliciagnichols@gmail.com or info@uniquelywiredforgodsglory.com
