EXPLORE: LIFE | FAITH | MEANING

WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha creates a safe and informal space to explore and discuss questions about life, faith and God.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?
Everyone is welcome to come to Alpha! People attend for a variety of reasons. Some want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Some may have attended church on and off all their lives but feel they never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. People come from many different backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints – but all come with the same objective: to establish whether Jesus Christ has any relevance in their lives.

WHAT IS ALPHA LIKE?

  • First, there is food. Each evening you will enjoy a free, delicious home-cooked dinner with your small group of 8-12 people and get to know each other.

  • Then there is a talk. Generally thirty minutes long, these talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They will explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity.

  • Followed by discussion. This is the most important part of the evening: the chance to share thoughts, ideas, and questions on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There is no obligation to say anything… and there’s nothing you can’t say. It is an opportunity to talk about things in an honest, friendly and open environment.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
If you have children 10 years old and younger, please bring them to enjoy a couple hours with other kids doing some really great things!  The children old enough to participate, will enjoy fun lessons and experiments based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) . The children will be fed a meal while you enjoy good food and adult conversation!

ALPHA BOOST

Alpha Boost takes the friendship and community that you enjoy at your alpha table into a relaxed and homey setting. On Friday night, kids are welcome to join us as we roast hot dogs, make smores around a bonfire, and play games. On Saturday, we will get a “boost” by watching and discussing some alpha videos. There is no cost to participate – please register below.
