Our Iron Men ministry is focused on creating opportunities and environments for men to connect and have conversations that lead to a deeper relationship with Christ and one another. There are lots of ways for you to jump in with us – we have a monthly dinner, small group Bible studies, regularly scheduled outdoor activities and events, and an annual retreat.  MEN As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. THE IRON MEN CHALLENGE Transform Your Well-being: Beyond Awareness to Lasting Change Many men recognize the need for growth in their physical, relational, mental, and spiritual health, yet true transformation often remains elusive. Traditional avenues like the gym, self help, therapy, church services, Bible studies, and podcasts, while valuable, frequently fall short of producing lasting change. The missing piece? A supportive community that helps men bridge the gap between their aspirations and reality. On the 3rd Monday of each month, we have an Iron Men Connect Night offering live teaching and roundtable discussions focused on Biblical Manhood, fostering growth in Christ's character. Complementing this, are weekly challenges providing exercises that grow you physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. And for even deeper accountability and community, we offer Life Groups that meet at the church on Tuesdays. It's time to move beyond knowing what to do and start living it. IRON MEN MONTHLY CHALLENGE Iron Men Outdoors is a faith-driven community of men bonded by their love for nature and a shared spiritual journey. Through outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, and kayaking, they form strong connections while finding solace and spiritual growth in the beauty of the natural world. Sent to a work camp at age 14, Chomno endured starvation and torture at the hands of the Khmer Rouge; he alone of his family survived. After liberation and while living in a refugee camp, a Christian doctor introduced him to Christ. Chomno is now the founder of Cambodia Hope Organization, helping rebuild his country torn asunder by 30 years of civil war. KENYA Compassion International In Kenya, working with Compassion International, we are partnering with a local church in Githunguchu, Kenya. This church is doing a great job proclaiming and demonstrating God's love in their community and we are thrilled to come alongside them to advance the cause of Christ together. PERU Reformed Church of "Los Perales" and Iglesia Presbiteriana Piedra Viva In Peru, Cedarbrook Student Ministries partners with two church planters, Moises and Santos Buendia, pastors who have a heart for planting churches all across Peru – in the coastal city of Lima, in the mountain villages of Lircay and Huancavelica, and in jungle villages along the Amazon. We believe the definition of a disciple can be found in Jesus’ invitation to his first followers. Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men. Mark 1:17 ESV We believe the definition of a disciple can be found in Jesus’ invitation to his first followers. From this invitation, we draw out three important characteristics of a disciple, found below. To learn more, click on one of the resource buttons below. Follow me: a disciple knows and follows Jesus In the discipleship process, Jesus is the leader; in order to be one of his disciples, we must intentionally accept his invitation to follow him. This involves a head-level change. A disciple needs to understand who Jesus is and acknowledge him as such. Making the decision to follow Jesus affects how we think and what we believe. This head-level change challenges everything from our worldview to our priorities. head resources I will make you become: a disciple is being changed by Jesus Not only do disciples make a mental decision to follow Jesus, they also enter a process of personal transformation in which a deep work takes place in our hearts and desires. Jesus loves us as we are but loves us too much to leave us that way.
