JESSIE FREELAND Middle School Ministries Director I’m the Middle School Ministries Director here at Cedarbrook (and for now, I get to hang out with the high school crew too!). It’s just me in my little family, but I stay busy with things I love—like hiking, crafting, and, of course, eating chocolate chip cookies. Cedarbrook has been a part of my story since I was a middle school student myself, so it feels extra special to now be serving students here. Before stepping into this role, I spent many years in childcare as a nanny and in daycare, and I’ve been on staff part-time at Cedarbrook for 5 years, especially focusing on teen girls ministry. My absolute favorite part of the job? Hands down, the students. They’re the best people in the world—full of deep love for God and each other. JOCELYN MILLER Clarksburg Closet Operations Coordinator I'm the Clarksburg Closet Operations Coordinator. I’m married to my wonderful husband, Thomas, and we have three amazing kids—Nathan (14), Katelyn (11), and Madelyn (8). As a family, we love hiking, biking, running, playing games, and just being outside exploring new places together. A little fun fact about me: I’m left-handed but grew up playing sports as a righty. I also met my husband in college through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, which will always be a special part of our story. I studied Child Development at North Carolina State University, but my career path led me into administrative and customer service roles, most notably as an administrator at Texas A&M’s Mechanical Engineering Advising Office. After having Nathan, I felt called to stay home with my kids, which has been such a gift. These days, one of my favorite treats is dark chocolate, and my favorite part of working at the Closet is honestly all of it! I love being part of God’s work here, serving alongside amazing volunteers, and slowly getting to know the people we’re serving. It’s truly a joy.

ABBY MARTINEZ Administrative Assistant I’m the Administrative Assistant at Cedarbrook, and I’ve been part of the staff since 2021, but my connection to this church goes back nearly 30 years. I’m married with two grown children, Amber and Zach, and I’m a proud grandma to four amazing grandkids: Rowan, Jakob, Logan, and Levi. Outside of work, I love singing, crafting, cooking, and staying active. I even play in two bands, one acoustic and one party band — and I teach crafting workshops when I can. My career journey has taken me from 17 years as a Respiratory Therapist to owning my own business, to taking time off to help raise my grandsons before stepping into my role here. My favorite treat is Key Lime Pie (though I don’t have it often), and my favorite part of my job is getting to work with our pastors, staff, and ministry leads to help build and support the church that has been my home for almost three decades. abby@cedarbrook.org
