- CHOMNO IN
CAMBODIA CHOMNO IN Tell me more about your mission? Our mission is to equip and empower the church to strengthen the quality of life of disadvantaged rural people and vulnerable children by cultivating hope for the future, where self-reliance among the communities is obtained through the support from CHO’s income generating projects. What are some victories I can celebrate with you? Being able to provide health training and relief packages for and seeing the blessings is a victory that we would like for you to celebrate with us. We also would like for you to celebrate the 12 people who offered their lives to God. What are some of the challenges you face? The Corona pandemic is one of the biggest challenges that we are facing now because we are not able to do our normal work. Keeping the church pastors, leaders and members motivated is very challenging. They not only struggle with meeting their physical needs, but emotional and spiritual as well. Another challenge is providing training to the community. Although we cannot meet in groups, we can do house visits - but it takes longer to reach everyone. And we must keep in mind the safety of the staff and the people they come in contact with at the same time. How can I pray for you? Please pray that we will continue to have funding to help support the poor people with some more covid relief packages. Please pray that our leaders and pastors continue to be encouraged and motivated. Please pray that we all stay healthy. Please pray that God provides us with wisdom on how to help and lead his people. How can I support you? We would love for Cedarbrook to continue to help support the health project because it is really needed, especially during times like these. If possible, we would like to have more teams from Cedarbrook church to come and help us here with our ministry in the community. We need skilled people to come and train our staff in areas of computers, English, pastor training, as well as doctors or nurses to come and work alongside our staff. Where can I learn more? You can go to our website at www.cambodianhopeorganization.org to learn more about us. but the website is not updated yet because we don't have anyone with the skills to help out with that. global missions

- JONATHAN KWON
JONATHAN KWON Lead Pastor I’m the Lead Pastor here at Cedarbrook, and I count it a joy and privilege to minister the gospel to our church family. I’ve had the unique opportunity to serve in both the church and public sectors, and I bring that blend of experience into every aspect of ministry and leadership. Before coming to Cedarbrook, I served as the Executive Pastor for Campus Ministries at Woodside Bible Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. Prior to that, I worked as a Consulting Manager at Deloitte in New York City and spent nearly a decade in various roles including case worker, policy analyst, and Director of Quality Assurance at the NYC Department of Homeless Services. Throughout those years, I also served in several ministry roles including Youth Pastor, English Ministries Pastor, and eventually Lead Pastor for Teaching and Administration at Hanmaum Baptist Church in Glen Cove, New York. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Theology from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Public Policy from The New School, and a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. I’m married to my wife, Michelle, and we have two wonderful daughters, Kate who’s in first grade, and Clara who’s in Pre-K. Life at home is full of joy, energy, and plenty of personality. Outside of ministry, I’m a passionate Notre Dame football fan and a bit of a technophile. I enjoy tinkering with gadgets and exploring anything tech-related. My favorite treat is a handful of gummy bears paired with a strong cup of black coffee.

MEN As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 To enable men to connect with one another, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and make a difference in the world they live in. THE IRON MEN CHALLENGE Transform Your Well-being: Beyond Awareness to Lasting Change Many men recognize the need for growth in their physical, relational, mental, and spiritual health, yet true transformation often remains elusive. Traditional avenues like the gym, self help, therapy, church services, Bible studies, and podcasts, while valuable, frequently fall short of producing lasting change. The missing piece? A supportive community that helps men bridge the gap between their aspirations and reality. On the 3rd Monday of each month, we have an Iron Men Connect Night offering live teaching and roundtable discussions focused on Biblical Manhood, fostering growth in Christ's character. Complementing this, are weekly challenges providing exercises that grow you physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. And for even deeper accountability and community, we offer Life Groups that meet at the church on Tuesdays. It's time to move beyond knowing what to do and start living it. IRON MEN MONTHLY CHALLENGE UPCOMING EVENTS Iron Men Outdoors is a faith-driven community of men bonded by their love for nature and a shared spiritual journey. Through outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, and kayaking, they form strong connections while finding solace and spiritual growth in the beauty of the natural world. It's a brotherhood that combines faith and the great outdoors to inspire and empower men for fulfilling lives. Join us for one of our monthly events. JOIN GROUP CONTACT JOIN AN IRON MEN GROUP

- The Doctrine of Scripture
4e322ed7-2e34-45bd-802c-cc632a1f9535 Follow me: a disciple knows and follows Jesus When we look at the life of Jesus, it is very clear that his mind and his worldview were deeply formed by the Scriptures. As we read the Gospels, we see that he was literate, conversant, and passionate about the Word of God. And he calls his followers to be the same. A disciple of Jesus needs to understand and embrace the essential teachings of the Bible. Each month we will explore an essential doctrine of God’s Word through video and print resources. We hope that you will find these helpful in your discipleship journey. The Doctrine of Scripture BOOKS Scripture Alone by James R. White Scripture and the Authority of God by N. T.
